Day 5 Lions Den to Cooktown

We only had a short distance to drive today, which was good as last night it was windy enough to blow a dog off it's chain & no one got much sleep.
We had a quick stop at Black Mountain lookout, amazing that such a big mountain is made entirely of granite boulders.
Next stop was Archer Point, a nice spot, but so windy that it nearly blew the doors off the car when we got out (no joke) & we couldn't walk against the wind. I don't know why but it was very funny & we couldn't stop laughing.
We reached Cooktown before lunch & set up camp before heading off to do some sightseeing. First stop was Endeavour falls where the boy's considered a swim but on seeing the croc warning signs soon changed their minds.
Then we checked out the lighthouse & Captain Cook's landing sight where all the girls had fun playing on the musical boat.
The caravan park owner kindly let us use the park t.v to watch the footy & the seafood man came around selling prawns. Beer, prawns & seafood = some very happy boys.

After a very windy night, Lee was ready for the mental asylum
